Private Divorce
Coaching | 1:1 Support

If you answered yes to any of the above, then private divorce coaching is for you.

As a certified divorce coach, I  help you build conflict management skills, define      strategy, set boundaries, and make informed, confident decisions – no matter where you are in the process of divorce – from deciding to divorce, to having that difficult conversation, to moving through the legal process, to the post-divorce recovery period in redefining who you are and what you want.

Why You Could Benefit from Private Divorce Coaching

Clients going through divorce often feel like their world is upside down. Everything they thought their life would look like is changing. They used to be part of a couple and even though they are still married and often still living with their spouse, they are being forced to lead themselves through huge decisions, alone, often for the first time in decades. Every single piece of their lives feels like it’s in limbo. Divorce brings up so much uncertainty and usually, lots of conflict.

Nobody warns you that divorce will mean making hundreds of small decisions (that feel gigantic in the moment) and that you will have to make those choices when you haven’t felt calm or slept or eaten for what feels like months.

This is what coaching is for. These are all the pieces of going through divorce that you don’t have to face alone (not that your spouse is no longer your best friend … if they ever were.)

What a Divorce Coach Actually Does

You are handling a lot. And you are still expected to show up for work, for your kids, and for yourself, without falling to pieces in the supermarket check-out line.

This is where coaching makes you feel seen, heard, and supported. It’s like having a best friend, who is going to listen, then give it to you straight, let you cry, and then help you make a plan. Week after week, month after month, for as long as you need it and can stand on your own again.

A divorce coach is not a therapist  and does not give legal advice. Both of those matter. But I am neither.

A therapist helps you process what happened. An attorney tells you what you’re legally entitled to. Neither is going to help you figure out what to say in tomorrow’s mediation, or how to respond to a text from your spouse baiting you into a fight, or how to make a decision about the house without spiraling for weeks first.

That’s the gap. Divorce coaching helps you think clearly, decide with confidence, and stop making an already hard situation harder on yourself.

I’m a DCA Certified ADR Divorce Coach, trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution (a service recognized by the American Bar Association) which means the foundation of how I work with clients privately is on resolving high-stakes decisions, high conflict communication, and a process that doesn’t require you to abandon your values and the outcomes you want.

Who Is Private Divorce Coaching For?

You’re currently in it – deciding, having the talk, mid-divorce, post-filing, somewhere in the messy negotiations, or on the other side of divorce and still catching your breath. You don’t need someone to agree that your ex is impossible (even when that’s true). You need someone who can help you get regulated enough to think clearly and act strategically.

This works whether your divorce is amicable and you just want to be sure you’re making smart decisions, or whether you’re dealing with a high-conflict spouse who turns every conversation or decision into a challenge for battle.

How Our Coaching Sessions Work

Real decisions, not just talk. Together, we work through things like:

I don’t make decisions for you. As your coach, I support you in building the skills and gathering the information so you can make the best possible choices for yourself through the divorce process.

I am also there for you when we work on the part nobody else puts on their checklist – the critical piece of who you’re becoming on the other side of this, and how to start making decisions that will redirect and redefine the strong, independent individual you are becoming now, instead of waiting until the divorce is final to start.

How I Work with Clients

Our coaching sessions are built around where you are that week in your divorce process and what decisions or challenges are the priority. Some weeks we may be working on getting you through the “divorce talk” with your spouse, some weeks we are reviewing the decisions you are making with your attorney, some weeks we are sifting through the big emotions that are preventing you from taking the next steps necessary to get to resolution.

Private Coaching Session Packages

My private coaching is $360 for 3 one-hour sessions, scheduled weekly, using zoom or via phone call.

Why Work with Me

I’m a DCA Certified ADR Divorce Coach. My training is built on an Alternative Dispute Resolution approach, emotional regulation, informed decision-making, and communication strategies – because divorce is not only a legal event, but hundreds of decisions that all have to hold up later. I work with clients regardless of location, gender, or stage of the process.

Divorce may have changed your life, but it does not get to decide what your life becomes. That’s the whole point of the work we do together.

For those who want a continued support community as they rediscover how to be independent, healthy, and happy post-divorce, I invite you to join REDEFINED,
an intimate 8-week group coaching experience.

Frequently Asked Questions About Private Divorce Coaching

How much does private coaching cost?

Three private one-hour sessions are $360, scheduled weekly, via Zoom video call or phone call. You will receive a link to schedule your call at your convenience during available days/times.

How is divorce coaching different from therapy?

Therapy tends to look at the past and help you understand the why’s. Coaching looks forward to figuring out what’s next. I’m not a therapist and I do not diagnose. I help you make decisions, hold boundaries, create strategy and planning, get informed, dig into your thought process, and help you communicate clearly as you move through the divorce process, so it stops running (or ruining) your life. If you’re in therapy, this works alongside it, not instead of it.

What is a divorce coaching session like?

We work on what’s happening for you that week and figure out what the priorities are – it may be a decision you’re stuck on, a conversation you’re dreading and want to prepare for, a boundary you haven’t been able to hold… There’s not necessarily a goal until we speak, although there will be accountability and support for previous week’s goals as well. Generally, you bring the issues, and we unpack it all and build an action plan.

Do you only work with women?

No. I work with anyone navigating divorce, including men. My group coaching program, however, is currently available to women only.

What if three coaching sessions aren’t enough?

Most clients know within three sessions whether they find coaching helpful and useful. If you want to keep going and need more support, you can book another package. No pressure either way.

I haven’t fully decided to divorce or if I’m already divorced, is your coaching still for me?

Yes, to both. Some clients come in prior to the decision to divorce (I’ll never tell you what to do, but coaching often helps clients come to their own decision to stay or leave.) Some clients come in mid-divorce process for support getting through the immediate chaos and to get more strategic. Others come in post-divorce, still struggling to get unstuck and get beyond the divorce. My coaching meets you wherever you are.

Is this private and confidential?

Yes. What we talk about stays between us. Even emails and correspondence are discreet.
